Feeling anxious?

The mind's attempt to control an uncertain future by rehearsing every possible disaster. Often, we're trying to protect ourselves from the pain of being caught off-guard again.

The unmet need

Permission to not know what will happen; the capacity to tolerate uncertainty without catastrophizing; present-moment awareness as an anchor.

A question to sit with

Am I trying to control the uncontrollable? What if my job right now is not to eliminate uncertainty, but to develop trust in my ability to handle what comes?

What to do right now

Write down your three biggest worries. For each, ask: "Can I do something about this right now?" If yes, do one small thing. If no, practice saying: "I release what I cannot control. I trust my future self to handle what comes."
